For whom?
The Trade4U application was developed to send targeted international opportunities to the subscribed companies. Nearly 500 more general to very specific sources are regularly checked to filter out the most interesting opportunities. In 2023, more than 17,500 trading opportunities were distributed.
Always new opportunities
These business opportunities are sent based on the company profile registered in the exporters' database. This identification is based on two criteria: the definition of the commercialised products and services on the one hand and the target markets (countries) on the other. Based on this, only the relevant information is disseminated. The company profile can be changed at any time.
Creating consortia
Available for iOS and Android, for smartphones and tablets, the application offers an essential function: creating consortia. Belgium consists mainly of SMEs, it is common that a company is not big enough to only respond to quotations issued by large international institutions. Once they agree to share contact information, a company can indicate its interest in an opportunity. The Belgian Foreign Trade Agency will connect the various interested parties. What's more, subscribers can participate free of charge in two major annual seminars organised by the Belgian Foreign Trade Agency.
The following functions are also offered:
- request for a complete file
- notifications & reminders of the tender submission deadline
- history of submitted tenders
- request for additional information
- sorting by opportunity type, country, deadline, number of participants and views
- favorites list
- display of the number of clicks per opportunity...
Finally, economic and legal news related to foreign trade is also distributed via the Trade4U application.

The Belgian Foreign Trade Agency can go through this procedure for you and provide you with the document at a realistic cost (this includes the price of the purchase of the specifications as well as any bank, shipping and/or relocation expenses) and this faster, thanks to its privileged contacts. The next Trade4U seminar 'Business opportunities in Kazakhstan' will take place on 10 September 2024.
The Belgian Foreign Trade Agency, in close cooperation with Flanders Investment & Trade, the Wallonia Export & Investment Agency, hub.brussels and the FPS Foreign Affairs, has the pleasure of inviting you to their Trade4U seminar on 'Business Opportunities in Kazakhstan' on Tuesday, 10th September at 14h, at Club Prince Albert in Brussels.
The EU is Kazakhstan's 1st supplier and 3rd largest client beside China and Russia. Within the EU, Belgium is the 10th largest customer and the 9th largest supplier. Kazakhstan has embarked on a process of diversifying its partners, in particular with the European Union. Kazakhstan has been an important partner for the EU offering important resources such as uranium, oil and various minerals. On top of it, the EU has signed a strategic agreement with Kazakhstan to deepen the trade relationship, the first of its kind in Central Asia.
Kazakhstan, strategically positioned at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, offers a diverse range of economic opportunities for Belgian businesses. The government is actively implementing market-oriented reforms, which are set to attract foreign investment and boost competitiveness across various industries. Kazakhstan, as the largest economy in Central Asia, has emerged as an attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI). According to an estimate by the Kazakh Invest national company, during the last 30 years, total FDI inflows have reached $431 billion. This amount accounts for 70% of the FDI inflow to Central Asia. Not surprisingly, the EU, with Belgium playing a significant role, is an important investor in the country.
We have the honour of welcoming as guest-speakers HE Baimukhan Margulan, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Belgium, and HE Henri Vantieghem, Ambassador of Belgium to Kazakhstan. The seminar is organized with the support of Credendo and offers valuable insights for anyone interested in export opportunities to Kazakhstan.
